The Evolution of Halloween

I was sent this info-graphic in connection with my Halloween post and it is really quite interesting to look at.  It would appear that Halloween has become more of an adult orientated holiday than a kids one, which in a way I find quite sad, because of how much I loved Halloween as a child. I would run home from school and be badgering my Mother from the minute I got in the door to put my costume on. Maybe, the surge in adults celebrating Halloween are from my generation who love Halloween as much as I do. How do you feel about Halloween now that you are a little older?

  1. Halloween has always been a huge deal to me as a child and as an adult. As a kid, I loved the spookiness that came with it - twisting dead trees, black cats, witches, and 31 days of Halloween specials on TV.

As an adult, and a pagan, it's become even more important not only as a nostalgic event but also a spiritual one.

  2. I remember being a little kid and looking forward to Halloween so much! As I got older, it became so much less exciting :(
Great post! I love this year's 'In' style - gotta love Gangnam Style!
